Great Barrier 2 Across The Divide

For For his second release in the Great Barrier series, Paul Harlyn took his influences from the American Indian tribes of the north and southwest. The 14 tracks presented here reflect the cultural influences gleaned from his extensive travel to that area.

From the opening poem, “Dark Time” recited in French, with it’s rich backdrop, to the radio friendly track “Montana Day”, the CD is a 61 minute journey that will touch your heart and soul.

On 3 songs, Harlyn’s piano, keyboards, and ethnic flutes are joined by exotic vocalizations that are wordless yet full of meaning.

GREAT BARRIER 3 Between Conflict and Resolution

The theme is inspired by current world events and seeing a peaceful resolve. It continues the theme of all the barriers we as humand bring into our lives

The CD takes Middle Eastern sacred vocal chants, and fuses them with the mystical piano, deep undertones and exotic rhythms the series is known for.

The track “Cairo” off of the first CD has also been released on the “Buddha Bar” compilation CD (Vol. 2) out of Paris and has sold over 350,000 copies worldwide.

The Middle Eastern influences made for a special revisiting of that track on the new album with new rhythms and sounds.
